Analisis Dan Perancangan Sistem Informasi Manajemen Inventori Barang Menggunakan Metode Prototype

Abstract

Inventory management that is still carried out manually often leads to various problems, such as data recording errors, delays in obtaining stock availability information, data duplication, and difficulties in generating accurate and timely inventory reports. These issues can negatively affect operational effectiveness and managerial decision-making. This study aims to analyze user requirements and design an inventory management information system that supports more structured, systematic, and integrated data management processes. The research employs a qualitative approach, with data collection techniques including direct observation of inventory processes, interviews with relevant stakeholders, and a literature review to strengthen the theoretical foundation. The system is developed using the prototype method, which allows continuous user feedback so that the system design can be adjusted to actual user needs. The results of this study produce an inventory information system design with a clear workflow, supporting the management of incoming and outgoing goods data, and facilitating the generation of inventory reports effectively and efficiently.
